July 16, 20213 yr Author comment_625146 Is that switch grounded to the frame? Can I just put all wires that go to it to one contact? As opposed to 3 contact points on the switch ? Very hard to find same switch. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65601-drivers-side-door-push-pin-switch-for-dome-light/#findComment-625146 Share on other sites
July 16, 20213 yr comment_625147 The switch is not grounded to the frame. One of the three wires is providing power, the other two wires go to (1) the warning buzzer that the key is in the ignition and (2) the dome light. Putting all three wires together will defeat the switch - the buzzer and light will always be activated. July 16, 20213 yr Author comment_625149 Will the power wire be live with key on or straight to battery? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65601-drivers-side-door-push-pin-switch-for-dome-light/#findComment-625149 Share on other sites

The power wire should be live all the time so that the dome light comes when either door is opened. Jim, had to edit your response. The fuse is in the fuse block. From the factory.
