July 27, 20213 yr Author comment_625783 You CAN use a broken handle on the other side but I did not realize it will not fully hold the handle in the door. When pulled it will half come out and fells like after a few pulls and open and close of the door a few times it will break right off. Better to just get a new one. Yours must have broken at a different spot than normal. They generally break on the arm where it meets the base. I've swapped them many times and the offside arm serves no purpose, so with it broken off, once the handles are swapped, they function perfectly. Yours must have broken lower on the casting where it actually mounts to the door. I've never seen one break there. Weird. July 27, 20213 yr Author comment_625806 I have 2 that both broke in the exact same spot. Just above where rod clicks into handle. When it brakes there once screwed to car the handle pulls out of the door.
