July 30, 20213 yr comment_625960 Bearings prob failed or something Fun thing in classics is you can take everything apart. Take the time to take it apart. It's an easy fix usually Edited July 30, 20213 yr by bartsscooterservice Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65657-how-can-i-unseize-a-wiper-motor/#findComment-625960 Share on other sites
July 30, 20213 yr Author comment_625975 I have it apart. Which bearing are you referring to? Motor seems to spin ok. I have not opened gear side yet. White gear looks a bit worn. But my issues was clicking when I tried to turn it on. So power was there. July 31, 20213 yr comment_626064 I can't tell exactly, never taken one apart, but it looks heavily corroded. Check the motor and gear. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65657-how-can-i-unseize-a-wiper-motor/#findComment-626064 Share on other sites
August 2, 20213 yr comment_626170 Does your motor have a relay on the side? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65657-how-can-i-unseize-a-wiper-motor/#findComment-626170 Share on other sites
August 2, 20213 yr Author comment_626184 Yes. Motor has a relay on the side of it. Any way to fix it. Relay just clicks when it’s got power. August 2, 20213 yr comment_626192 I had the same problem with the motor not running. I bypassed the relay and connected a battery straight to the motor, and it ran. Power goes through the relay before the motor, so I cleaned the contacts on the relay, and it worked fine. You might give that a try.
