July 31, 20213 yr comment_626030 Check the fuses. If the motors bound up and you left it on, it probably blew the fuse Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65661-how-do-i-test-power-to-wiper-motor/?&page=2#findComment-626030 Share on other sites
July 31, 20213 yr Author comment_626032 Fuse is ok. Apparently other wires on plug are grounds. So I need to hook + up to those holes with test light to see what’s going on. I thought all those wires would be hot. July 31, 20213 yr comment_626037 Not sure which side of the harness you're looking at. Remember that the switch harness colors probably don't match the main harness colors. Here's a better diagram. July 31, 20213 yr Author comment_626050 I have a 260. 6 wire plug. Not a five wire like the 240. Is the 260z six wire plug the same as a 280 wiper plug? July 31, 20213 yr Author comment_626065 does the wiper switch ground the wiper motor? so when i test it i should hook my test light up to the + on the battery and see if certain grounds will complete the cicuit in the wiper plug??? previously i was thinking i would see power on the wiper plug -- Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65661-how-do-i-test-power-to-wiper-motor/?&page=2#findComment-626065 Share on other sites
July 31, 20213 yr comment_626066 That’s a continuity test using a meter. Are you familiar with the use of a multimeter? Again that’s the only way to get true readings. July 31, 20213 yr comment_626070 Google a you tube video on using a multimeter. Your looking for how to perform a continuity test and dc voltage testing. That will give you help on doing tests. If you have questions after that post them here and we can help you with testing.
