Posted July 31, 20213 yr comment_626092 So I started repairing the headlight support but the front frame piece was mangled worse than I'd hoped. I suppose I can repair/fabricate it, but this is not my area. Does anyone know of a vendor that makes them? The yellow paint is to seal up the clean metal until I get back to work on it... whenever I can carve out the time... July 31, 20213 yr comment_626097 Check out https://www.facebook.com/Auto-Panel-Solutions-418351785395614/ this guy has many pieces that other places do not. It sticks in my mind that KlasicFab may have these also, https://kfvintagejdm.com/product-category/datsun/?swoof=1&product_tag=240z&really_curr_tax=37-product_cat I'd start with these two, I'd be willing to bet one if not both will have what you need. August 1, 20213 yr Author comment_626151 Yeah I looked over it and they don't seem to have that particular piece, but I am bookmarking the page because there's plenty of good stuff there. I'm probably going to ask my father in law to get me in touch with the other one, since he does have FB. August 1, 20213 yr comment_626155 Auto Panel Solutions is in the UKAnd he’s a top bloke!!! Very friendly and helpful with great panels to boot! He goes by the handle “woody” in the UK Zclub. https://zclub.net/community/index.php?members/woody.2636/If you don’t have FB but want to contact him, just set yourself up on the UK forum and use the “conversation” option to send him a PM.https://zclub.net/community/index.php Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65665-front-frame-headlight-support-parts/#findComment-626155 Share on other sites

Ask him if he has them, KlasicFab's website does not have everything available listed...just reach out and ask him. 🙂 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/65665-front-frame-headlight-support-parts/#findComment-626160 Share on other sites
August 2, 20213 yr comment_626166 Ps. Just realised his “gallery” has pics of some of the panels he does ...https://zclub.net/community/index.php?media/albums/z-repair-panels.159/... but don’t assume this is all of them, ask him and if he doesn’t have it he may even make one for you and add it to his list of parts. August 2, 20213 yr comment_626175 @ArcticFoxCJ instead of the yellow paint use "silverish" paint that can be welded it's perfect for the job, you can ask a shop for welding stuff.. local. BTW... is it a 260 or 280z you are working on? BTW... is it a 260 or 280z you are working on? It actually isn't just yellow paint. It's a rust sealant that came in a few different colors. I'll look into this silverfish you mention though, since it would be nice to not have to grind the sealer off before I start cutting and welding to fix the rust. It's a '77 280Z.
