Dcreech0 Posted August 16, 2021 Author Share #13 Posted August 16, 2021 Yes. I do totally intend on adding the relay modification for sure. I just need to figure out where all the wires originally came from then go from there. I don’t see where the red/white wire would connect to under the dash. From looking at others pictures online I assume the red wire that’s missing off the combo switch goes here. But I don’t see a red/white wire under the dash to connect to. SteveJ Posted August 16, 2021 Share #14 Posted August 16, 2021 I could give you a better clue on the wire if you could tell us what year your car is. That is why I made the previous request for you to add it to your signature.

SteveJ Posted August 16, 2021 Share #16 Posted August 16, 2021 Here's the problem. The wiring harness you show in your picture and the headlight switch are from a 73 or later. Post a photo of the hazard light and post the VIN on the firewall. Something is not lining up here. It could be that someone really bastardized the car. I know the dash has been out before and I plan on pulling it again to refurbish it. I will get those pictures posted here in about an hour when I get home from work. When I bought the car, the seller admitted that the dash had been swapped out for another s30 dash. Do you think the dash harness could have been swapped with this dash as well? The dash does have the pull knob type hazard switch that’s green

While you're taking photos, take some in the passenger footwell where the dash harness and engine harness come together. I want to see the connectors between the two harnesses. If they have different colors, that's all from 73. I was SO hoping that someone didn't really bastardize this.

It’s a good solid candidate coming from New Mexico. Body is rust free (other than floor pans). pictures coming in about 30 minutes

SteveJ Posted August 16, 2021 Share #23 Posted August 16, 2021 Well, the VIN looks to be from a 71, but that wiring is definitely from a 73. I wonder if the person who did this also swapped over the wiper amplifier. I suggest you download the 73 FSM for the wiring diagram. That should help you some. Could you help me figure out the headlight switch though? Haha. Sorry….. I’m trying to get the car ready for a silly inspection to get it transferred to my name. Kentucky requires a sheriff to look at the car to make sure the lights, blinkers, horn etc work.
