HS30-H Posted June 11, 2003 Share #2 Posted June 11, 2003 If I were you I would log into hybridz.org and do a search for "Showcars" and "G-Nose".A few members over there have dealt with this supplier and seem to be rather less than happy. With any of these 1-piece or 3-piece "G-Nose" kits ( even though they don't look like the Factory G-Nose, they still insist on calling them a G-Nose kit ) there are always fit and finish issues. The proper Factory cars used 5 pieces, and they were of VERY high quality - with captive nuts in all the right places. Even then they are slightly mobile and require a little adjustment every now and then.In my opinion, the best G-Nose replica parts are to be found in Japan, and even then they usually require a bit of work to make them mount properly and fit right.Alan T. Gav240z Posted June 11, 2003 Share #3 Posted June 11, 2003 I tend to agree with Alan and believe that the original Gnose looks the best. From what he's told me and I've seen personally the original was of very good quality and I refuse to put a gnose on my car unless it's the original factory style 5 piece.I've seen alot of Z's here in Aus running around with fibreglass copies and there just not as good.check out www.geocities.com/spized1969/ for a look at what the real deal looks like.Or see Alan's gallery for the full ZG kit.I have a few in my gallery also that I believe are of factory standard.Of course your more than welcome to buy it just wouldn't want you to pay good money for something you won't be happy with :classic: . axelr8 Posted June 11, 2003 Author Share #5 Posted June 11, 2003 Hey guys thanks for the feedback... I was well aware of problems that might be present with these types of kits so I wanted more info, I really like the design of it though and it looks nice too, but yeah if i can find a source in Japan I would go for it, the only difference the ebay one has with the original is the front spoiler am I correct ? Thanks guys I think ill keep my money and keep an eye out for a kit of higher quality.

mbentsen Posted June 18, 2003 Share #10 Posted June 18, 2003 All Z parts in Thornleigh Sydney Australia sold me a copy of the genuine one for AU$750.The quality is very high.It is a one piece, but it is molded of the real thing and looks good.I have had another so called copy before, and that was slightly too long and the shape wasn't right . Never again!Warren at All Z parts gets these made up from a master he has.The fit is reasonable. I have only trial fitted it so far.I seems that the front distance for the hood is spot on, but the rear is 5mm too wide. I'm happy cutting two slight wedges out of it to get it perfect, since the overall shape is excellent.Strength wise it's good too. It's made with 6 layers of fibreglass. But no it doesn't have nutserts for Guards etc.If you would like I can take a photo and post it.Michael
