Very tight you say?

From memory I'm not sure how they plan on installing the exhaust manifolds without cutting out the innder guards....

It's a 90 deg V8 with very wide heads!

I think that the 4.0L Soarer/LS400 engine fits much better (is that a 90 deg engine?)

After looking at the two pictures already posted, they both look like 90 degree blocks. I think either engine will present similar fabrication problems no matter what systems you are looking at.

Are both engines all alloy. How much does the fully dressed engine weigh in comparison with the L series.

cheers

Ive heard figures bandied around for the 1uzfe (lexus v8) of 179kg. Not sure what this weight includes.

There is a bloke in Oz, in the midst of doing a GTO - Z replica using the lexus v8, he sent me heaps of juicy pics and details.

Apparently it fits like a glove- even one of the radiator hoses line up.

*although looking at the pictures, not sure the headers would look like an expensive custom job.

If anyone is interested in this conversion, give me a yell and I'll pass on the details.

Never being one for V8 conversions, I must admit that this one looks interesting.

I wonder how it will handle with the majority of the block being mounter rear of the front struts.

Could one call this a mid mount?

Possibly it may be as close to it as a zed would get!
