October 18, 20213 yr comment_630137 Clean up the wires and verify the colors. Also post the year of your car. Different years have different wiring. (Hint: Click on your user name in the top right corner. Then Click on Account Settings. That should give you a new screen. Click on signature and add your car information in your signature.) That is definitely NOT for your horn relay unless someone just randomly re-wired some things. (Yes, I know that can happen.) Green/red - Usually the left turn signal wiring. Red - Usually right headlight power/high beam indicator on the speedometer. (I can't tell from your photo if there is a stripe on the wire.) Black - Ground. That is obviously not a stock connector on that ground wire. October 18, 20213 yr Author comment_630142 OK. think i got the signature thing done. Also here is a cleaner images. Other side of connector towards firewall is black, red/black, blue. On connector side that has wire ends is black, green, red(no stripe) Maybe i should re-wire connector using same colors? Wow....i was way off. Ot really sure where this will go now. Maybe its on the steering column if its something to do with high power beams thanks! October 18, 20213 yr comment_630168 Looks like you didn't quite get the signature thing. Maybe you didn't click save, it's not obvious. Here is what the page looks like (thanks Steve). For some reason it's in Account Settings even though it is actually a Profile thing (I spent 5 minutes looking through Profile to try to find it in the past). Makes no sense, it's not a setting. Anyway... Just type stuff in the box and click Save. Photos and the correct year in the signature help a lot! It's the wiring for the defrost switch. October 18, 20213 yr comment_630185 The wire colors tell you a lot of what you need to know. Make sure you download the service manuals. That's where I get a lot of my info from. That page came from the 71 supplement that is posted on this site. If you notice, the connector shapes match up well.
