Posted November 20, 20213 yr comment_631875 After much looking, I think I want to find a set of Rota RKR wheels in 15". Thinking 8" is the right width for my slightly lowered (see photo) '72 240Z (unmodified fenders). I'd consider 9" if I was sure it wouldn't be too restrictive (rubbing, etc.). Upgrading from the 14" mags that are on it now. Anybody know the best place to buy these? I'm in SoCal if it matters. November 20, 20213 yr comment_631912 I would not go to wide on the front wheels.. 6" i have and the steering is already a bit heavy.. I don't know if 8 or 9" will fit in the rear.. November 20, 20213 yr comment_631913 Think about 16 x 7 with 205 55 16 tires. Many more tire choices with the 16" dia wheels. Without going to coilovers and rolling fender lips, you will run into rubbing going wider on the front. You can do some research on HybridZ ro see whats involved to go go wider and staggered fitments. November 20, 20213 yr comment_631924 I put Rewind 16x7s on my 280, no problems. But threw them on my 240 one day just to see what they'd look like and they rubbed up front. Turn the wheel sharp and they rub the bottom edge of the front end on the fender. I prefer them because they look a little more period to me. I like to keep some sidewall on the tires. Don't want the ride to get harsher than it is now. But I could be convinced otherwise, probably.
