Posted November 21, 20213 yr comment_631983 Hi, I just removed the front suspension and steering from my 1977 280Z. Afterwards, I found a washer with following dimensions: Inner Diameter: 12mm Outer Diameter: 40mm Thickness: 9mm I am in the process of a complete tear-down so that I can send the body away for blasting. It could be possible that this part does not belong to the front suspension, but I'm pretty sure that it was not on the floor when I started the disassembly. Does anybody know where this belongs to? Thank you. Jagoblitz Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/66060-unidentified-part-after-removal-of-front-supension/ Share on other sites
November 21, 20213 yr comment_631985 That looks like one of the washers for the tension/compression arm. There should be two per side. November 21, 20213 yr comment_631991 There are also some washers like that used on the mustache bar. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/66060-unidentified-part-after-removal-of-front-supension/#findComment-631991 Share on other sites
November 21, 20213 yr comment_631992 Indeed, could be a mix up with the mustache bar. According to the parts manual they changed in 73, but after that they should be the same as the ones in my photo. I also have a 1977 280Z, but can't garantee originality. You can search for parts on this site. https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/axle/front-suspension/21 Edited November 21, 20213 yr by EuroDat Date changed Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/66060-unidentified-part-after-removal-of-front-supension/#findComment-631992 Share on other sites
