Out of interest I checked the owner manual that came with my 7/70, it is dated 20 March 1970 and shows the wheel lug wrench I have.

 

I also checked my collection of scanned owners manual for 240Z's, 260Z, 280Z's. Interesting they all show the same early type of lug wrench. Or at least the person is holding them the same way?

My 03/70 has the same as yours , perpendicular style, no NISSAN MOTOR logo . And a letter “J” on it .
I edited “ perpendicular “ to “ parallel “ vice versa in post #23 .

By the way, your jack has “P F 1 “on the basement, that indicates your jack is original matching tool with your car , great!

I think Nissan just didn’t want to do new drawings, simply lazy 🤭
I found another good example in the early manual , it shows a different jack handle which was never provided for our cars . Finally  in the March 1971 book , Nissan corrected about the handle but just painted it on the old early picture , not revised with a whole  new picture . You can see artificial paintings for the jack handle to look “correct handle “ for our cars. 
Additionally, now I see why export owner’s manual show this picture of tools , which is not the same bracket and jack retainer of our cars . This picture came from the one in the early Fairlady Z owner’s manual.

At least the Nissan illustrators added the correct hubcaps for each manual. The image I made by cutting and pasting happens to show the evolution over the years. 😆

I was missing the point why our Z cars are so wonderful. Adorable price which comes from every single cost control.

Kats, I don't think I ever showed you this tool set I bought.  New.  It comes in a cloth bag with fold-over and silver snap.  It is printed "NISSAN MOTOR".  The wrenches are 'SANKI' in sizes 8-10, 10-12, 12-14, 17-19, and 22-24.  Drop forged; they stack up in the red metal clip. The screw drivers are stamped in the metal shank 'NISSAN' for the flat blade and 'RABBIT' for the Phillips head.  The pliers and adjustable wrench are marked 'NISSAN'.  It came with a valve gauge, no markings, and just one blade.

Hi Chris, this tool set is very unique, and they are new! What a great stuff you have got . I don’t know “SANKI “ , I will search it by internet, maybe a tool company?

The black bag and screw drivers looks very old fashioned, so maybe they are for the earlier cars than S30 series?

A similar (if not the same) tool kit was included with the International Harvester Scout offered with the Nissan SD33 and SD33T engine offering.  IH used SAE in the assembly of the chassis/body, so owners/mechanics were accustomed to owing SAE tools.  The Nissan SD33 and SD33T engine, using metric fasteners, presented a unique challenge to owners/mechanics, who may not have ready access to proper fitting tools.
