FresnoZ Posted February 16, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2022 I'm sure this has been discussed on here before but I can't find a way to search the forum. Anyways, my driver side mirror wiggles just a bit and it looks like unless you have long skinny alien fingers there seems to be no room to reach the nut. Is there a special tool or trick? Sorry, forgot to mention this is on a 1977 280z with what look like a factory mirror. As always, appreciate any help. Thanks! Ryan
heyitsrama Posted February 16, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2022 Oh your hands gonna get jacked up. It might be easier to remove the window and tighten it up, maybe dab some thread adhesive. If you remove the window you get a shot at cleaning the rails too. If the rubber insulator is messed up between the mirror and the body it’s a great time to fix that too.

Was hoping there was a trick to this. Edited February 16, 2022 by FresnoZ

Casey_z Posted February 17, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 17, 2022 I had the same thing and have big hands. I went on Amazon and bought one of those cheap foot long flexible extensions and managed to get my socket onto it and snugged it up. It was not easy but I managed to get it to work.
