Posted June 16, 200321 yr comment_41036 My stock antenna has finally died - thanks to a car wash attendant. I put my car through the wash and forgot to lower the antenna, went to pay and realized the antenna was still up, ran back to lower it before it went through, and to my horror found the attendant trying to lower it by hand. Needless to say, he killed it. He was gracious enough to offer to pay for replacement if he damaged it, so I'm in the market for a new one.So where's the best place to get a replacement? MSA? Which antenna works best in a 240? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6643-240-power-antenna-replacement/ Share on other sites

June 16, 200321 yr comment_41071 I bought the "aftermarket", "modern" auto antenna from MSA. It was a clean installation. I ran an un-switched 12 volt wire and the antenna motor signal wire together along the path of the rear harness. Six months of good duty so far. June 16, 200321 yr comment_41094 It is an easy job to replace just the mast, Just remove the nut on the top on the outside and have some one run the button while you pull the old one out and then run the button while you feed the new one in to the hole until it is retracted. then replace the nut and you are done. No need to remove all the interior panels and the whole unit. :pirate: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6643-240-power-antenna-replacement/#findComment-41094 Share on other sites
