I am refinishing my dashboard on a 280zx and want to remove the rear defog panel on the bottom left of the dash. Does anybody know how to remove the two knobs - one for the rear washer/wiper and the other the interior light rheostat?

Can you get a photo of the backside? Someone might have a suggestion.

Push and turn me thinks, or the whole black panel pops out THEN you can get to the hex nut behind

Push in and turn counterclockwise 1/4 turn after the natural rotation stops. Reverse to install.
