Posted July 31, 20222 yr comment_643120 I am having a FS5w71B transmission rebuilt and I am trying to provide the shop with a complete inventory of bearing and seal sizes before they open it up. Has anyone already done this? I have the part numbers for all of this stuff taken from the Car Parts Manual site, but that doesn't give me the ID/OD/Width info and weather or not any of them are sealed. I suppose I could just get a rebuild kit, but I wanted to have this on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly once they get to it. Does anyone have this info on hand? I've dug through the forum and can't find it. July 31, 20222 yr comment_643123 @EuroDat did, I think. I tried to find it but can't. It should be in the Downloads area somewhere but I can't figure out how things are categorized there. Don't know how to search just the Downloads area either. Anyway, it's out there somewhere. July 31, 20222 yr comment_643127 @Zed Head Hi ZH, It is in the Tech Articles, but what you say is true. I find it difficult to find stuff in the Resource section. July 31, 20222 yr comment_643129 Ohh I just did this, I would use Eurodats part list for OEM part numbers, or on the right side it has the bearing number (e.g. 6305 c3) and order high quality bearings from an online distributor. I bought a bk104 bearing from Transmission Parts Distributors it had one wrong size bearing, it gave me a larger bearing for the fs5w71c. All of the bearings in this kit were from Nachi, they were very smooth. August 3, 20222 yr Author comment_643233 Thanks for the help everyone! I went ahead and made an updated version of EuroDat's spreadsheet with links to where I was able to source OEM Nissan parts so peope can copy the part numbers instead of transcribing them from the screenshot. I didn't get everything on the list, and some of them may not pan out (the ones from Amayama Japan / Part Souq, specifically) but I have a ton of this stuff on order. I'll let you know how it goes. August 30, 20222 yr Author comment_644705 I received the last of the parts I ordered for the 5-speed overhaul on Sunday this past weekend, so three weeks total wait time. Not bad considering one of the bearings was lost in transit to Courtesy Parts and had to be ordered again. Not as fast as ordering a quest kit, but I went above and beyond what's available in those, plus it's all OEM.
