Posted August 11, 20222 yr comment_643724 So we stripped the 50 year old chrome off the front and rear bumpers for prime and paint. It appears that the fronts were actually made in 3 pieces and welded together. Totally surprised. I wonder if anyone ever knew this. August 11, 20222 yr comment_643727 I'm not surprised. It was probably to simplify the dies for stamping the bumpers.. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/67735-interesting-find-on-my-240z-front-bumper/#findComment-643727 Share on other sites
August 11, 20222 yr comment_643731 Huh. Makes you wonder why they couldn't do the same for the rear bumper... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/67735-interesting-find-on-my-240z-front-bumper/#findComment-643731 Share on other sites

August 12, 20222 yr comment_643775 What are the chances that those lines are just marks from where the overriders "hit" the bumper?
