The other aspect is the article is I think 3 years old. A lot can change in 3 years

Another thing is that we don't know how many different H4 LED bulbs he looked at. I lucked out 3 years ago when I got the Auxito bulbs. I first purchased them in late 2020. It was about a year later when I found they were polarity independent because I already had relays in my car.

Yes it is. I put a 6.2mm female open barrel spade (with insulator) on one end of a short piece of wire, and an M6 open barrel ring on the other. I just connected the spade to the negative terminal and ground the ring on a screw.

Installed the LED-compatible flasher relays today & switched out the front & rear directional bulbs

removed the two factory relays

used the flasher relay mount point for the grounds

made a stainless bracket to retain the relays. @SteveJ - It is nice to be able to adjust the flasher speed 🙂

Cleaned up the housings, and added a thin strip of closed cell foam to improve the seal. Also Volvo used nylon washers to help seal the screw holes, so I added those.

@HusseinHolland I decided to get some empirical data on the headlight housing temperature rise when using the LED headlights. I drove the 260Z to a car meet. The lights were on for about 50 minutes. Ambient temperature was about 49 degrees, and the outside of the metal housings were 50 degrees according to my IR thermometer. I didn't try to get an IR reading on the front of the housings.

Nice!

I know the front's don't heat up - the headlamp covers I added had some frost on them when I left for work (6am) one day last week (forget which), and it was still there after the 20min drive.
