Posted June 25, 200321 yr comment_42092 I'm looking for some advice on replacing my radiator. I have a 72 240z with a four speed and an after market air conditioner. The radiator has a slight leak; the car tends to overheat on those occasional really warm days here in Minnesota. I'd like to replace the radiator with a three or a four row radiator that has a stock appearance. Please let me know where I might locate a reasonably priced unit. Thanks, Greg Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6792-radiator-replacement/ Share on other sites
June 25, 200321 yr comment_42096 MSA(www.zcarparts.com) sells both 3 and 4 row radiators. It really doesn't matter how many rows the radiator has. Is what matters most is fins per square inch. I do not have personal experience with MSA nor know how Stock-looking they are. I run duel fans (one pushing and one pulling). They seem to work great for me here in Florida. I took her out Saturday during 100 degree heat and she ran cold as ice. I've seen some 80's chevy camaro radiator conversions. They are not direct bolt up but work great and inexpensiveMy$.02Brandon Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6792-radiator-replacement/#findComment-42096 Share on other sites

Thanks, Greg Take your radiator to a local radiator shop and ask them about putting in a new core with 3 or 4 rows, and/or more fins per inch. I had a 3 row heavy duty core installed in my stock 72 240Z radiator tanks and brackets. It was a bit more expensive than the list price for one from MSA, but I didn't have to pay shipping and I got a better warrentee.FWIW,Carl Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/6792-radiator-replacement/#findComment-42115 Share on other sites
