astrohog Posted October 28, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2022 I've searched and searched but could not find an answer to this. I am in the process of a refresh and sent the original, stock radiator to the local rad shop for hot tanking and minor leak repair. When I picked it up, the shop had given it a fresh coat of gloss black paint. I assume that the factory finish was satin black? Anybody know for sure? DatsunZGuy Posted October 28, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2022 (edited) When all else fails, look at the $310,000 BaT 1971 240Z with 21K on the clock. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/ Edited October 28, 2022 by DatsunZGuy

Patcon Posted October 28, 2022 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2022 I find that the gloss paints like rustoleam dull down over time to appear more satin like
26th-Z Posted October 28, 2022 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2022 I painted my two '69s a satin gloss. Almost but not shiny.
