Yarb Posted November 5, 2022 Share #1 Posted November 5, 2022 Gentleman is the site down today on your end. Maybe most folks are taking the day off.
DatsunZGuy Posted November 5, 2022 Share #2 Posted November 5, 2022 Seems fine today. Sometimes I'll have trouble reaching the site, but it usually clears up within a few minutes.

Very little activity the last two days. Might be an issue with the site, or it might be an issue with the participants.
Zed Head Posted November 6, 2022 Share #4 Posted November 6, 2022 Present! I've noticed that a few other forums I frequent are low on activity. Maybe we're all preoccupied with the possibility of the end of things as we've known them. I am. 1 2
Racer X Posted November 6, 2022 Share #5 Posted November 6, 2022 There was a vigorous wind storm Friday and our power was knocked out by falling trees. Twentynine spans of wire from the main line up on the county road to our house, and the twenty third span is the one down. The cutout is at the end of the eighth span, killing power to twenty four homes, all but four having private wells (including ours) so not only no electricity, but no water. Oh, and no innernet either. So I won’t be checking in much until the power is restored. The electric utility (the one I worked at as a truck mechanic for 30 years) had over 150,000 customers out of power Saturday morning, mostly around Camano Island. This morning they still have over 75,000 out, and the focus is the areas where the larger numbers of customers are affected, so our small number of affected customers aren’t a priority.

Mike Posted November 6, 2022 Share #7 Posted November 6, 2022 I did some work on the site, it may have been around the time you logged in. However, that said it looks like things are a bit more speedy! I configured our caching system to render our pages first (before any external resources).... apparently it was configured to wait for all resources to load before it would show you a page. Let me know if you guys see any problems. Mike 2

Headed out to a small town about 15 miles from our place to get a signal, and watch the championship finale from Phoenix today, as the trees are still laying on the power and phone lines, and without power and phone, no tv or innernets. Sitting in the parking lot of a local tire shop, watching the race on my iPad. The road is still impassable, requiring use of the top secret back entrance to the Batcave. Don’t you like for us to be generous with the likes?
siteunseen Posted November 6, 2022 Share #11 Posted November 6, 2022 I broke the camel's back, metaphorically. Too many gives and too many gots.
Zed Head Posted November 8, 2022 Share #12 Posted November 8, 2022 Tried to sign in just now and got a timeout. But when I opened another tab I was signed in. Captured the spinning wheel and the eventual timeout message.
