Does anyone have a picture(s) of how the headlight wires enter into the sugar scoop to connect to the headlight?  I'm assuming the wires normally come from the engine compartment?  How do the get to the area behind the headlight?  I found a very basic sketch but it isn't that helpful.  I am rewiring my car (1976 280z) from scratch and can do it any way I want.  Looking for the cleanest install.

There's a dirty crusty plastic panel inside the fender well that you have to remove.  Easiest with the wheel removed.

I'm assuming you are talking about the splash guard behind the headlight? If so, yes I figured that part out.   But how do the wires get from the engine compartment into the wheel well?  Or do they possibly run under the fender, along the top of the inner fender?

Look at BE-94 in the Body Electrical chapter.  Nissan really didn't label the chapter sections well.  You have to stumble upon it.

I don't know if all the years are the same, but this is how my 77 did it. Passes through a grommetted hole above frame rails from the engine compartment into the wheel wells:
