Finally got around to do the Honda wiper motor swap after my original died.  In typical fashion, I took a relatively easy job and turned it into a multi day event but like everyone says, it was well worth it!

Despite the freezing cold morning air, several of us drove our Zs to a local car meet. We were joined later by a 350Z, and an AE 280ZX.

Another weekend, another car meet.

There another couple of Z33s that showed up, but they were shy.

The silver 260Z had the rare, but coveted, Golden Retriever option.

Had new injectors installed in the 1990 300 ZX. Also, proud to say my grandson Greyson is sticking it to the competition. Here he is over the years 😀 Proud grandpa!

I pulled the 260Z transmission today.

Here's the drain plug. That piece of metal lying on the floor was also attached. I also took a picture after I cleaned it.

The oil coming out of the transmission was very pretty, all full of glitter. 😲

Soon I had everything else clear, so I was ready to drop the transmission. All I had to do was pull one bell housing and two transmission bolts.

After I finally got the transmission clear of the engine and header, I lowered the transmission jack, and the transmission promptly rolled off the jack. I dragged it out to prepare to install the replacement.

Does this count as a Z31 showing up?

It was having an out-of-body experience.

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta was holding its monthly Caffeine and Chrome meet today, and the Georgia Z Club was the featured club this month. While Gateway gives the featured clubs money based on the car count (up to $200), we decided to donate the money to Toys for Tots.

With the great weather and spirit of showing up to get money for Toys for Tots, we had plenty of Z cars show up, with every generation represented. We don't get that too often.
