Richie G Posted May 25, 2023 Author Share #26 Posted May 25, 2023 (edited) my link to newco was great, had it in like a week. 1 meter section was $49 plus $27 shipping to CA. Edited May 25, 2023 by Richie G
siteunseen Posted May 25, 2023 Share #27 Posted May 25, 2023 I found the right size low pressure fuel rated hose for my vent lines at a local O'Reilly parts store. Seems like 5/8" was the larger size and they had it. Used two 90 degree brass 3/4" PEX for the 180 degree bend. Saved a lot of money and nobody knows but us.
Grapes Posted May 25, 2023 Share #28 Posted May 25, 2023 Yah, I know….but I would know. I don’t know what it is with me but I am trying and like to keep everything as stock looking as possible….I guess it’s a sickness! 🤪
Richie G Posted June 23, 2023 Author Share #29 Posted June 23, 2023 Ok, finally after all this time got the hoses and the canister back in. Wasn't as bad as I expected except for all the bruises on my forearms from under the car 🙂 I was actually able to do all of it end to end without removing the tank. I pulled the shield and I'm skinny enough to fit under there and even reach between the rear body panel and the tank to get the dreaded bent hose on. There was just enough give in the body panel that i could keep it far enough away from the tank that a hand could get in there. Then used a real long screwdriver to tighten the clamp. When I get it up and started again we'll see if it holds 🙂 Here's the final product. Thanks everyone for all the advice and help along the way. And the door spring trick worked incredibly well.
