Posted March 8, 20232 yr Popular Post comment_651155 just to let the forum members know I have a 260z with the 2 lift struts for the hatch. today I did install the Stabilus brand strut part # is 3b250273 and the hatch opens up 95% on its own. after I push the button to open the hatch, I raised it maybe 3-4" and it goes all the way to the top. what a difference. I believe the force is 44lbs for each strut and it does close really easy. just an update for the forum. March 20, 20231 yr comment_651584 Thank you for posting this. Does anyone know if this is the same strut that Zcardepot offers? Any reason to buy one vs the other? March 23, 20231 yr comment_651682 Not so much that friend. Either the kit comes with options/adapters for the configuration that you are working with is the key. It’s tricky on these cars to find exactly what you’re looking for. Please report back. Thanks.. March 23, 20231 yr Author comment_651689 you would have to punch out the center pin on the oem strut. then you would use the adaptors that come with the kit. very easy to do about a 1/2- hour job. do not make the bolts that hold the strut to tight, and I did use locktite on the nuts. So it's pretty much self evident when you look at the accessory bits that come with the strut? I didn't know they came with any adaptors Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/68180-hatch-lift-struts/#findComment-651698 Share on other sites
