HusseinHolland Posted March 23, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) I bought a used steering wheel off eBay, listed as applicable to 240/260/280Z, as mine is 'squishy". The listing implied it was a factory wheel, and it appears to be. The problem is it has no hub, and since I'm new to Datsun, I didn't realize that the stock wheel in my 75 is not detachable from it's hub. So, Can anyone advise me on what hub I need to look for to make this wheel work? Thanks in advance image from listing, it specified without hub or horn button shown Edited March 23, 2023 by HusseinHolland
HusseinHolland Posted April 11, 2023 Author Share #2 Posted April 11, 2023 (edited) Still haven't figured this out, so I bought a cheap universal wheel (Nardi/Personal/Momo) Boss kit HUB-N-2 that allowed me to use an old Nardi wheel I had stashed. I'll need to find a 48mm Datsun emblem to replace the Abarth emblem. This will do until I figure out a way to use the Datsun wheel. New dash is here, so that will be on the agenda Edited April 11, 2023 by HusseinHolland
heyitsrama Posted April 11, 2023 Share #3 Posted April 11, 2023 Something like this might work. https://greenline.jp/catalogue/item.php?category=interior&subcat=Boss Kits&brand=Works+Bell&series=&name=Boss+Kit&carcode=S30&fromlink=2#image4 https://www.lonelydrivercompany.ca/products/copy-of-star-road-super-short-boss?_pos=3&_sid=c76b43dfb&_ss=r

The old Datsun wheel I need the hub for has 2 3-bolt mount patterns, one with 6.5mm holes the other with 8mm holes, 48mm bolt spacing Edited April 11, 2023 by HusseinHolland

HusseinHolland Posted July 13, 2023 Author Share #8 Posted July 13, 2023 (edited) Modified the vintage aftermarket wheel to fit. Cut the hub from the original worn out wheel. The advantage of this is that it will sit further away from me. With my height, the stock wheel is too close to me when the seat is correctly placed for clutch pedal operation. This wheel is shallower. welded after this - forgot to take pics added JB weld to fill the minor gapage on the front side Edited July 13, 2023 by HusseinHolland
