Posted April 23, 20231 yr comment_652915 I have been looking for a jack and wheel chocks for my 6/71 Z for a long time now, but I am not having much success. It was mentioned that the dates on these items are not necessarily close to the car manufacture date. I am curious to see how much they differ. If you still have your original jack and chocks (as best you know), can you have a look and post what you find? Just need the letters and numbers stamped into the base of the jack, and the letters or numbers stamped onto (ink) or in (indented) your wheel chocks and the month of manufacture of your car from the door tag. Thanks! April 23, 20231 yr comment_652916 Okay, I'll start. On my 7/70 the chocks are 0G, (= 1970-July) and my jack is PFI, (= 1970-June-9). I bought and stripped a 12/70 parts car about 25 years ago and I believe these chocks were in that car when I got it, one still shows an inked stamp with what I think is 9G, (= 1969-July) Edited April 25, 20231 yr by CanTechZ Corrected jack date decode Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/68294-what-is-the-date-on-your-jack-and-chocks-original-to-your-240z/#findComment-652916 Share on other sites
April 23, 20231 yr comment_652919 Here's a pic from the 5/70 that sold in 2020 on BaT for 310K. Wheel chocks are 1970-February. Can't quite make out the jack date code. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/68294-what-is-the-date-on-your-jack-and-chocks-original-to-your-240z/#findComment-652919 Share on other sites

If you open that pic in "new tab" in chome, you can zoom more. That car has 5/1970 on the door tag. Jack would be 4/1970 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/68294-what-is-the-date-on-your-jack-and-chocks-original-to-your-240z/#findComment-652961 Share on other sites
