Tachometer upgrade

This is at idle and engine is warm. I had a fuse blow and the tach went haywire.

I'm not sure why you think the tach needs recalibration. Have you changed something in the ignition system? Assuming the tachometer is ready to be replaced, I'll use Speed Hut as an example. Why?

There are a bunch of tachs on eBay starting at $40. Well worth swapping out and easy to do IMO. Modifying the harness would be a last resort. My 2 cents…
