Well it did take 5 hours to get the blessed thing off (in prep for the Quaife ATB going into it)! My wife made some noise though as I told her I’d be just a couple of hours tops 🤣 she should know better by now! Things just take that much longer when you’re working on the drive between 3°-0°C with wind blowing across you. Helps go faster if you can feel your fingers! January 17, 20241 yr comment_661150 I've heard people talk about a "diff clunk", right? Hahaha!! And I totally get you about the cold temps. I used to be able to work on cars in the cold. Not so much anymore. My hands just can't take it. February 4, 20241 yr comment_661695 I took the 260Z for a drive today. When I stopped for gas, I could smell coolant, though I couldn't find a smoking gun. When I got home, I looked closer, and it appears I may not have tightened some hose clamps when I replaced the water pump. I'm letting the car cool down enough so I can work on the lower clamp on the lower radiator hose. February 10, 20241 yr comment_661931 They have a depot here in the states to keep the shipping cost down. Spoke to one of the partners a year ago before I bought mine and he explained the process. He said they wouldn’t sell many tanks if they shipped them directly from Europe. I am concerned about the area where I welded on my gas tank. I chose to remove a "drain" that was added by the shop that cleaned and coated the inside of my tank. Though I believe I got it air tight again, I fear it may develop a leak in that corner of the tank. It is good to be aware of options. February 17, 20241 yr Popular Post comment_662161 The Georgia Z Club held a Gumball Rally in North Georgia today. There was a pretty good showing, too. These are the basic rules: There will be directions that will NOT be straight forward. Those directions may or may not be correct. There will be clues to things to identify during the drive. There will be a prize for whomever provides the most correct answers to said clues. The tiebreaker will be the total distance of the route. (Note: if you take a wrong turn, deduct the mileage from the total.) A navigator is not mandatory but is highly recommended. Just because you see someone else coming from the opposite direction, it doesn't mean you are going the wrong way. They could be going the wrong way. If you see a sign that says "Welcome to Tennessee", you are lost. If you see a sign that says "Welcome to Florida", you are REALLY lost. The club will not send out search parties for those of you who are lost or REALLY lost. Speed doesn't win. Accuracy does.
