November 5, 2024Nov 5 Author comment_671063 Looking at the decal, I’ve not seen one in black and white…. No red or colors…. Did early ones have a “more plain” appearance? JDM-CAR-Parts Link makes a good color decal: Keith Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/68900-finally-found-a-69-240z-51-time-to-finish-a-30-year-multiple-owner-restoration/?&page=22#findComment-671066 Share on other sites

I don't know if this has been mentioned before as an early car feature, but the door trims on HS30 00150 had screws in the bottom of them. I originally thought they were someone's attempt to fix a wonky door card, but you can see on the passenger door the 2 (either side of the door handle). But I believe they were an early S30 feature. Have you seen them on HLS30 00051? Have you seen them on HLS30 00051? I've seen that on later cars, maybe through 6/70? in LHD HLS30 world. Speaking of doors, I was fortunate to have the original passenger, "right hand" side door, it had the 2 holes for the 2 door panel screws you showed pictures of. I was able to use a similar door, for left hand side. My big curiosity for the doors was the metal tab wire holder on the "floor" of original door, confirmed to be a "real thing" by other 69 car owners. I believe to maintain wiring for aborted door lights.
