In my experience bulb that sticks out of the back of the housing is too long to close the stock dust cover, no? No. I have done the H4 with LED bulbs MANY times without issue. @HusseinHolland did the same thing with the parts I recommended. No problems. May 25, 2024May 25 comment_665867 Same. Did H4 housings and bulbs several years ago and swapped to LED replacements 3 or 4 years ago. No sweat. May 25, 2024May 25 comment_665868 By the way, if you go with the brand bulbs I recommend, they are polarity independent so you don't have to incorporate relays into the headlight circuit. No problems. Indeed! I didn't even take any pics of the inside prior to installing the rear cover - there was nothing to remark upon, everything went very smoothly. May 26, 2024May 26 comment_665871 When dapper was first selling their LED bulbs and housings, I bought a pair. The size of the bulb backing (I think it had a fan!) and its ballast box DID NOT FIT in the stock housing. I made a bulge using a ball peen hammer to make them fit, trial and error. No fun. The lights are amazing I have to say. As mentioned above, there are LED bulbs for generic H4 housings available now that fit just fine in the stock cans, so Dapper is just covering there products to ensure they fit in S30’s. Still, it’s nice to have a source for replacement housings, which even come with new aiming screws. And THAT is a good reason to consider their product.
