Triple Mikuni 44 need recommended brand of electric fuel pump

Recommended Posts

HI SteveJ,

I want to apologize for not providing all the information about my 240z. My 240z has has a electric fuel pump  and holley fuel regulator already installed which has been working ok. 2 weeks ago I had a problem with fuel filter having to be replace due to some particle in the filter. Also I think my Airtex E8012S is not providing the correct fuel pressure which caused a fuel stravation. I need to hook up a pressure gauge to confirm. I wanted to get members'  knowledge about using a different brand fuel pump for use with my triple Mikuni 44. Thank you again for providing your information.

Ron

But since it's a 73, it may be wired with the field modifications. That's why I want to get the OP to answer some questions about his car as opposed to throwing out a bunch of things.

It sounds like he already had an electric pump so just put me on ignore. Sorry.

I would have thought if those field modifications had been made the car would already have an electric pump.

But if someone converted that car to an internally regulated alternator, that person would have to disable fuel pump relay 1, or the battery would keep running down. The wiring would need to be modified to get power back to the fuel pump in that case.
