Inspection lid cushion - Series 1

Recently, a pair of inspection lids from a Series 1 were offered on ebay.

One of the photos accompanying the ad depicted the rubber cushion (63223-E4102) to be shorter and having a “L” profile dissimilar to the ones usually seen on early 240Zs.

Has anyone previously seen a similar cushion?

The cushion is just compressed into the L shape from the hood resting on it.

Does it appear shorter in length than the one usually seen on the 240Z?

Not sure I'm follow what the problem is. Are you looking to replace these rubber pieces?

I am trying to confirm whether the size of the rubber pieces changed during the production of the Series 1 cars.
