Posted November 2, 2024Nov 2 comment_670913 Hi, I've been asked to recreate the 240z front signal casing and wanted to know where the weak points are from the community and any tweaks that would be desirable to make it better. Any suggestions? It would be good if someone has a picture of the 2nd light hole in the back so I can design that in. November 2, 2024Nov 2 comment_670915 Nice work Chris, (I myself have the euro version signal lights on the bumper) For as far i know these flasher light ornaments/casings only had one bulb in them?Ā Ā I like the ones that are on the bumper, the disadvantage is the terrible stuff it's made of most part namely Zamac (alu, copper, zinc ??)Ā It rusts from inside the airbubbles IN the material, so it's always a lost case when you rechrome them it ALWAYS comes back.. terrible stuff..Ā Ā Maybe you could make them (the main rear part) out of shiny plasic? Mounting studs and hardware should be stainless steel.Ā Too bad the same can't be done for the screws that fasten the lens to the housing. November 2, 2024Nov 2 comment_670923 The US version, and presumably for North America, has only a single dual-filament bulb for this light. It would be interesting to learn where a dual bulb version was used. Japanese market models used the second bulb holder for the parking lamp system and the designated sub harness hooked it up. . Ā Slightly later, Australian market cars got a two bulb system with a divided half amber and half clear lens and an internal partition.Ā Ā Ā Edited November 2, 2024Nov 2 by HS30-H Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/69149-240z-front-turn-signal-weak-points/#findComment-670926 Share on other sites

I'm sure I ordered them from Amazon. Stainless screws. Some of them are surprisingly long. I don't know size or pitch Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/69149-240z-front-turn-signal-weak-points/#findComment-675016 Share on other sites
