For those of you who aren't paying attention to our events part of the site... Shasta 2003 is taking place as we speak. The event is held in sunny Northern California at Mount Shasta. I've always dreamed of attending this event, but, manage to miss it every year.

We have a great picture gallery of the event from last year you can check out by clicking HERE.

If you are (or already have) attending this event, please post some pictures along with a small review of the show. All of us sitting next to our computers would LOVE to attend even if it's through pictures.

Thanks all..

I was fortunate enough to attend this meet on saturday when they had the swap meet, autocross and car show. It was really cool.

But to kind of correct you, it is not at "Shasta Lake", it is about an hours drive from shasta lake. The event is called the "Mount Shasta Datsun Rally", no lake. It is held at Mount Shasta Board and Ski Park in the parking lot.

Beautiful weather and atmosphere. Met alot of really cool people and talked about alot of cool cars.

The autocross was the best part. Besides all of the datsuns and nissans(350zs, 300zs) There was a couple other cars that competed.....a new mitsu lancer evo 8 was ripping the corse a new one, along with a toyota tureno set up for drifting. Everyone got a good laugh at a nissan hard body truck that ran in it and a lightly modified neon that was the only person to e-brake the 180 turn at the bottom of the hill..and ran quite a bit better than most of the zs there. Who woulda thought?

Oh well ill be there again next year hopefully running my corrado in the autox...

I suggest you don't miss it..it really is a great event in a great area.

And moderator: You should change the photo gallery section Title to Mount Shasta Datsun Rally instead of "Shasta Lake". It is kind of confussing.

thnx

I made the show this year, finally. Hot weather and a lot of cool cars. I showed up on Saturday morning, having found out about it Friday night, so left home at 4AM and forgot to take a camera and wasn't pre-registered, so no show awards or anything, just a good time with good people. Definitely won't miss it next year. Liked watching the autocross, but I think they had it set up for 510s only, as anything else seemed to have too long of a wheelbase. Didn't run my car because I wasn't prepared, but I will next time!
