July 19, 200321 yr comment_44514 I was thinking about $250 for the manifold and turbo, I'd cut the dump pipe off the exhaust as well. It's a nissan manifold and nissan turbo by garret airesearch, I will sep if wanted. The previous owner had it on a L24 and reckoned it pissed all over the triple weber L28 that was in this 240z race car before.I'm looking restore the car for historic racing so I'd swap, buy any twin or triple setups or extractors.I'm about 1 & 1/2 hpurs out of melb but have family in east melbSteve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7032-engine-swap-into-260z/?&page=2#findComment-44514 Share on other sites

October 25, 200420 yr comment_99445 hey zx260,I bought a 260z 2 seater with a busted motor, pulled it out and put in the 280z motor,I'm not a qualified mechanic, engineer, nothin, but did it all myself. I enjoyed doing the swap alot and didnt have any real dramas. I reckon DIY is the way too go as you'll learn alot more. There are some pics in my gallery if you want to look.James: livin in California at the moment. Plenty of 280 turbos! not to mention rust free Z's! cam Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7032-engine-swap-into-260z/?&page=2#findComment-99445 Share on other sites
