December 21, 200519 yr comment_149606 Max, I have the Weber DGVs and they were installed by the local "Z doctor". There was not a fitting to connect the vent line to the manifold and he left the line in place and not connected. I always wondered if I could plug the line or if it had to be open and just venting in the engine bay. If I could plug it at the tank, that would be great. Unfortunately, Z doctor moved and can't ask him. Anybody with ideas?? December 21, 200519 yr comment_149632 NCZ,Thanks for the reply. From earlier posts in this same thread it appears that this 3rd line does indeed come from the fuel vapor recovery tank. It is needed to allow air to flow back into the tank as gas is drawn out so as to equalize the air pressure. So it can not be blocked off and plugged at the tank.Presently I have it connected to the Flow Guide Valve and the top outlet from that goes to a connection under the left air cleaner on my Weber DGV carb. I had to custom make a fitting to fit the small hose. The other hose from the Flow Guide Valve is supposed to go to the nipple on the crank case breather tube. However, my Z consultant tells me that it is OK to remove the breather tube from the crank case and plug it up....So I did. So now I want to remove the Flow Guide Valve as well and connect the line coming from the fuel vapor recovery tank directly to the connection under the air cleaner. I believe this will work but am looking for conformation from some one who is more of an expert than I..I tried to add a photo but I couldn't get it to work...ThanksMAX Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7044-fuel-lines/?&page=2#findComment-149632 Share on other sites
December 21, 200519 yr comment_149659 Max, Dave(Dogma240) just posted an article on removal and replumbing of the evap tank. I can't remember if that vent line remains or is eliminated. Will read later and see what he said, should be in the member articles section Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7044-fuel-lines/?&page=2#findComment-149659 Share on other sites
