What did you want for the Early SU's and are you willing to ship?

the early su's are nice, although the front carb had fuel shooting out the vent hose on top(bad needle valve I think) This has only happened once, but I swapped them out anyway just to be on the safe side because my buddy had an extra set laying around. The carbs ran great before I took them off except for that one incedent. Might be wise to just rebuild them. I guess I'd ask 75 bucks plus shipping although shipping to Australia seems expensive and I'd be more comfortable if you were to look at them before buying them.

How much are you looking for the l28 engine? Is it carbed or fi?

the l28 is FI, and has some of the fi stuff still on it. The engine is complete, the FI stuff is bonus. I was asking 100? I don't know what's fair though.

This seems a little bit like a newb question, but does anybody know if FI engines can be retrofitted with carbs?

of course they can! Under the hood of my 240z is an l28 with early su's. Stay away from the 73 and 74 carbs though...

To retrofit them, would I just need a manifold from an earlier l28? The idea intrigues me...if you're selling for 100 dollars i think i might just be interested...where are you located?

i'm in moraga, which is right near oakland and walnut creek. To retrofit, you need to get a manifold from a 240 or 260, and pop it on there. You also need a few other things such as a fuel rail and the linkage, but you can get that stuff for dirt cheap at a junk yard.
