I am finally putting the '74 together this weekend....

Has anyone had luck using other than stock head gaskets?

Everyone tells me that stock is the way to go but I've also heard that some of the after market work also..?..?

Felpro make a very good head gasket, and gaskets for the rest of the engine for that matter, that are every bit as good as Nissan's, at a lower price.

I would use the Felpro. It has a self sealing compound in it, so you don't need to add any type of sealant.
