Yeah, but one could do a good bit of rust repair for the cost of a set of Wats, if you catch my drift. At current prices they are prohibitively expensive for many of us (me). While the Rewinds do not look like Wats, at 13 lbs each and $320 for a set of 4, they are a viable alternative. First things first and all that. June 16, 200420 yr comment_85240 My oasis has showered me with wizdome once more. Thanks for the info. I really like the wheels, and dont get me wrong, I love originality, but that is a really good price for a SET. They wouldent come with tires for that price? Would they.....:cheeky: Thanks again, Carl. PS. Now I know I might be going on a limb here, but would the "Honda" spacers from Modern Motorsport work with these wheels? June 16, 200420 yr comment_85244 Hi Brian,Sorry, I can't help with the Spacers and Wheels. Check with Ross at MM.I wasn't meanig to criticize your opinion about the Wats, it's just that they are so expensive. I like them as well but can't talk myself into spending that kind of money for wheels. As for the Rewinds, yeah, $320 a set (no tires) was an outrageous price, especially since that included UPS shipping to my door. I'll probably have mine powercoated (charcoal or ??) while retaining the polished lip) before they go on the car. June 16, 200420 yr comment_85365 No offense taken, Carl. The charcoal or gunmetal color would look very sweet. You will have to post a photo of them when they get painted. July 6, 200420 yr comment_87646 I went to Discount Tire, which is a chain, and they can order the Koning Rewind for -+$70/wheel, installed, with all hardware, center caps etc. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7248-konig-rewinds/?&page=3#findComment-87646 Share on other sites
July 6, 200420 yr comment_87648 I e-mailed Koning about the availability of the Rewind wheels, and they responded that the Rewind is still in production and available. Please also note that in comparsion to the Panasport, they are much lighter. The Panosport is listed at 20lbs, while the Koning is 14.5lbs, which is a big difference, since unsprung wheel weight is critically important to handling...and I do not understand why it's not more of a concern for people.
