Rubber end caps for the rear bumper

I occasionally see rubber end caps for the rear bumper on eBay. Are these stock for a 11/71 car or are they after market add on?

We discussed this on another thread and I can't seem to find it.... I think we kinda agreed that they were original equipment in other markets but not in the US. They may have been available at the dealers, but only as an add-on. :ermm:

I didn't respond to that old thread, the discussion was about the rear bumper not hooking something on narrow streets. The end caps appear in Brian Long's; "Fairlady to 280 Z" book on Japanese home market Fairlady's and 432's. Photographs of American imports do not show the end caps.
