That should be fine if not the best. If you start running reg unleaded 87 oct. you may start getting pings and or light knocks underload with the turbo.

How do you like that janspeed turbo ? dont see many none the less get to talk with someone runnin one.

from what im told the only real need for super or leaded fuel is to lubricate valves over here have just changed to lead free super and a lot of people are running unleaded high octane instead but on older motors where valves are a possible problem the add a upper head lubricaten dont know how they fit it but its just a bottle with a tube connected to the manifold somewhere but depends on your motor really need to talk to who built the motor so you can find out if head is set up for unleaded or lead

my engine is the L26 with the e88 cylinder head, for this time i ve not already test the engine because the car was park for 4 years and all need to be adjust.... But the sealesman tell me that when the car was in good condition it run very well, perhaps i can tell you exactly in few weeks....LOL

My manual had take oil on it and is in very poor condition so i can't read it....

i will be careful and used an additive we will see....

The difficulty for adjust the engine is that i don't know which tune have to be done with the turbo kit, spark plug type, ignition timing, Su2" adjustement.....If someone knows.....????

Bonjour,

normally a turbo has less compression than a NA , so you might need Normal. Nevertheless, security first, my recommendationis Eurosuper and an additive. In my 240 Z I even use 100 oct Shell V-power and an additive. The V-power's km-efficiency is a little better so it isn't that expensive. May be for the Turbo 100 octan is too much, so prefer - as mentioned - Eurosuper.

I use PULP in all my L engines (except the low-performance L20B we've got)....

With our fuel anyway (91RON ULP, 96RON, LRP, 98RON PULP) they seem to just run nicer with the PULP fuel.

And with a turbo, nothing less than 98RON (if it's tuned for less octane, you'll be able to put in more timing = better economy).

You will get 'some' sinking of the valve seats over time, but it takes a LONG time. And by then you'll probably have planned to rebuild the engine for that new turbo & EFI system you've bought....:classic:

thanks but is not an EFI systeme but a rotomaster turbo sucking an SU his8 2", my problem actualy is to tune this carburator and rebuilt it without the preparer value for adjustement....

we well see...

for the moment the engine smoke because the mixture is too rich and with a bad atomize, and the oil didn't stay in the piston...:dead:
