August 2, 200321 yr comment_45852 Those Japanese guys are crazy, but I love it. If I saw a Z like that in the states I would be so excited. Tomorrow is the Z's by the Bay show. I have high hopes, but I am sure they will still have some nice looking Z's. I will post pics for sure. August 2, 200321 yr comment_45897 So how much metal surgery is involved in fitting the standard flares to the 240z? I'm starting to like the look, and the extra grip of fatter tires is always good. I'm Considering fitting flares to my car. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7273-zg-bodykits/?&page=2#findComment-45897 Share on other sites
August 2, 200321 yr comment_45898 P.S. Alan Did the Z432 or Z432R ever have flares? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7273-zg-bodykits/?&page=2#findComment-45898 Share on other sites
August 2, 200321 yr comment_45918 The photos I have, and believe them to be Nissan press photos, show the Z432 and the Z432R without flares. It's possible the 432 was sold basic, and then as Alan points out, supported by the "Sport Options" listing. August 3, 200321 yr comment_45951 I'm told the rear spoiler also mistakenly knows as the BRE wing and flares were a sports option list for the 432's. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7273-zg-bodykits/?&page=2#findComment-45951 Share on other sites
August 3, 200321 yr comment_45952 Gav240z, So from what you are saying there is a large and small rear spoiler. I guess the 6-8inch high one is the one for the works aero package. Have you got any PicturesCheersSteve:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7273-zg-bodykits/?&page=2#findComment-45952 Share on other sites
August 3, 200321 yr comment_45964 This is a quote from what Alan T told me.The original part numbers for the "ZG" style flares were: *63910-E7200 - OVER FENDER - FR RH *63911-E7200 - OVER FENDER - FR LH *78910-E7200 - OVER FENDER - RR RH *78911-E7200 - OVER FENDER - RR LH However - please remember that these originally came from the Sports Option list for the 432R, which came out more than a year and a half before the debut of the ZG. There were even wider ones available for the race style ZG's - so I presume you mean the street ZG style? You mention the "Rear ZG Spoiler" - but the ZG actually came from the Factory with no rear spoiler at all. Most owners and some dealers fitted the standard rear spoilers to these cars ( just like the Australian market model spoiler ) - which was a development of the Japanese home market Option rear spoiler ( sometimes called the 432R rear spoiler, or mistakenly as the "BRE" rear spoiler. There was a big three-piece rear spoiler for the Type A and Type B race ZG body kit: *98100-E8276 AIR SPOILER RRDon't have any pics of the works spoiler sorry. August 7, 200321 yr comment_46465 The Z i am looking at has flares not quite as large as those but close. Anyone know the size wheel those are along with what brand they are? I think they would look great on Black. -Jeff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7273-zg-bodykits/?&page=2#findComment-46465 Share on other sites
