best engine swap (ka24de with turbo or a vg30et)

best swap you say?

depends on how much money you have...

your best bet, for power, and reliability and afforadability....

L28eT.... that's right an good old Turbo engine from an 280ZX.

Direct bolt on, easiest swap you could do.. literally.

If you want an KA24DE(T) or VG30ET to fit into your Z....

that's about $12,000 for the engine, parts, mods, and possibly install. If you dish out that kinda money swap in an RB26DETT from an Nissan Skyline.... almost 280wHP

Why are you even considering an engine swap?

Surely the first part you should consider tracking down and fitting would be an LSD? That's the first thing that is going to help you to "drift" your car. Getting your car to perform well in an autocross or "drifting" situation is more a function of the suspension and transmission / diff than it is of the engine.

Yeah,

I have to agree a well set Z with good suspension wheels tyres and brakes with LSD is a must, the control you can obtain from minor upgrades will amaze you the starting point is excellent with good point and steer applied at the right time a Z will come alive and supprise
