Posted August 22, 200321 yr comment_47547 Well I did it jinked myself with stating I would not want to be realend in my Z!!!! Was hit yesterday on my famous 2 1/2 hr trip from SDiego to Long Beach. The good thing is it was only a 5 to 10 miles an hour hit but still the bumper is lost, lower real panel lost, real panel the tail light bolt to is good but in about 1 inch. Tail light covers good and hatch opens and closes. To a normal person they will see the bumper and lower panel and that is it. But to us Z heads you can see the tail light panel is in. Hopefully the insurance company will say yes to the repairs.... Anyone have a good shop they can recommend in the Long Beach or San Diego areas? Will post pictures as soon as possable... August 22, 200321 yr comment_47572 soon my z will be as easily damaged in the rear end as yours was. Not being a purist I plan on putting 240 bumbpers on my 280. I used to make that trip every weekend when I was stationed in SD and transferred to Long Beach to see my honey. Then when i was transferred to Coronado I did the reverse to see another one :-) It was amazing, I could kill a 6 pack on the drive (back in my younger days when I drank and drove :-( ):cheeky: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7584-it-finally-happened-after-9-years/#findComment-47572 Share on other sites
