A couple of us went along for a look on Sunday, great day. Very intimidating event, narrow road, lots of barriers, no practice, no warm up lap, just drop the clutch and go.

Jon Siddons with his Gold Coast based 240Z was outstanding. So commited and smooth, so fast. Don't know where he came yet but see www.leyburnmotorsprints.com.au.

Yeah - Leyburn was back and it was bigger and better than ever.

A real buzz - as 260Det says, just drop the clutch and go. Just watch out for the haybales, witches hats, tyre walls and the odd couple of trees but a lot of fun. Rain on Sunday made it interesting

My mighty green machine picked up a 2nd in class 2-3 litre sports pre 1973. Whole class was a gaggle of Zed's.

Siddon's Z has no rear sway bar, the front one looks around 22-24mm dia. Koni Sports shocks? And 14" wheels with Silverstones. My 260 without a rear sway bar had a lot of body roll but Siddons' with the 14"ers is very low.

I was going to move up to a 24-25mm sway bar. Do not have one on the back as I heard you could love them or leave them - user choice.

Currently running with 6 x 14 rims but about to upgrade the tyres in preperation for the Tweed event in 3 weeks.

Siddons handles like a dream by the way it goes through corners. also helps to know how to drive as well!

Best of luck and fun at the Tweed Speed event Biker. Let us know how it goes.

At present my 260 has a stock 22mm front bar with heavier modified Superpro brackets and poly bushes. Rear bar is a custom 14mm. All this to be tested at QR, hopefully next week.

Did have a 27mm front bar but that was too stiff.

Tried to download the results from the Leyburn site (above) but it wouldn't work for me. So if anyone can do this and post the overall results, want to see where Siddons came, and the Z class results it would be appreciated.
