Posted August 31, 200321 yr comment_48136 I was considering installing SU's on my 76 280 ,but a friend said I may run into trouble. Does anyone know what would be involved in the conversion. Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7692-converting-to-sus-from-fi/ Share on other sites
August 31, 200321 yr comment_48147 why would you want to do this...EFI has the potential to give you better fuel consumption, reliability, cold start and power...plus you can tune it once and then leave it alone forever. To do it thought will be quite simple I imagine, simply rip off the efi intake manifold and half the cars wiring related to it and the computer.Fit your carbs and linkages and grab the choke cable etc from a parts car... Ive considered the same thing, troubleshooting a nearly 30 year old EFI system isnt always easy and extremely time consuming, thank god I found "the book" Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7692-converting-to-sus-from-fi/#findComment-49712 Share on other sites
