texasz Posted September 4, 2003 Share #15 Posted September 4, 2003 Originally posted by ZmeFly this is for use with the stock rotor, complete remanufactured sets of calipers, brakes and pin and spring kit are included. When where these remanufactured? How much use have they had since then? Sounds like all that's missing are the pads to start using them. Is this correct? ZmeFly Posted September 4, 2003 Author Share #16 Posted September 4, 2003 for the price i quoted these are ready to bolt on, all you have to do is bleed the brakeswhat im selling comes with everything you need! all you do is the work to put them on:ermm: the calipers are not used but new remanufactured units.all you have to do is bolt them to your car, bleed them out and voila you are done. Gav240z Posted September 5, 2003 Share #17 Posted September 5, 2003 Zmefly are you selling these as a business deal or just 1 pair? If you plan on selling them for a while, I spose I'd be willing to look into them in future .

mmagnus Posted September 5, 2003 Share #21 Posted September 5, 2003 I tried bolting up a pair of Toyota 4x4 calipers to my stock rotors and found there wasnt enough clearance. I would of had to cut back the backing plate to mount them. Do you find the same.mark
ZmeFly Posted September 5, 2003 Author Share #22 Posted September 5, 2003 yes you would have to either cut the backing plate for the calipers to fit and or remove it completlythanks for that reminder
mmagnus Posted September 5, 2003 Share #23 Posted September 5, 2003 I didnt think about removing the plate. Is that ok to do.
2ManyZs Posted September 5, 2003 Share #24 Posted September 5, 2003 It's OK to remove it, but, the worst part is you'll have to pull the hub to do it... Probably easier to just get a good set of tin snips and trim it a little to fit the caliper.....or a Dremel tool and then just file it (or sand it with the Dremel) off where you cut it just so you don't snag your hand on it later....
