I was going to start mine this weekend but I got to thinking that I need both floor pans (and then some) and the crossmember mounts rebuilt. I don't want to cut them out and chance the body distoring while it's in the air like that. There's only 2 months left to work before winter so I may have to wait until spring.

What kind of welder did you use? A guy down my street has every welder you can imagine and I was going to use one of those, but for $200 I'll buy my own.

Yea, the car is in pretty good shape. I got it in San Diego. So far the only rust is in the floor by the end of the frame rail. Part of the frame rail is gone too. I don't know but I think that those frame rails are rust magnets.

The steel I used was 2" square tubing .120" and I got the specs right here on this site. I did a search on rotisserie's and came up with a couple of different designs. I just took what I liked from each and put it into a design that I liked.

I got the welder at Harbor Freight. It's a gasless wire feed. I would have gone with the gas but I didn't have the budget (about 300 bucks more). I like it, it does require a little more cleaning though.

My wife had gotten me the gasless , while perusing thier site I found that they had the dual mig 131 for 189 refurb perfect, I returned mine. Now I have the choice of gas or flux wire. (although I still need to buy my bottles and regulator)

Ive been trying to figure out how to sneak out in the middle of the night and weld my annoying neighbors car doors shut without getting caught,...
