I plan ahead, I drive also a Toyota Previa. The thing is only 12 years old now, but I know that I will have to part with it some day.

All the minivans we have here are nice high-tech projectiles with little if no use for me, they lack the "essence" of the mini-van :space!

Hell, don't see the point of going faster with my new TD Gizmovan than with my Z ? So I was looking toward good old-fashioned American high-tech. Cavernous space with elephantesk engine.

So the only one imported to Europe on regular basis is the Chevy-pontiac Trans sport called also the venture in the states. Any experiment with it, tears... or smiles. Too bad it's so hard to import a Suby over here!

PS: NO, I will not consider Chrysler as an option !!!!!!!!

get an astro, the ony minivan built on a truck chassis.

Ive had 3, all have been hit, one buy a flat nosed car hauler with a car on it, another tboned by a driver blowing through a red at 50.

Although I myself havent held up well (bad back) the vans had no doubt saved my life.

A recent trip to Sacramento from Tacoma the van was able to keep a continuous 90mph. Not bad for a kid hauler. The 4.3 vortec aint a bad engine, Ive NEVER broken down.

I tried one today for 5 min, typical GM Trash. But opulent trash...

Cruise/air/elec doors/computer/disco boob-boom machine... All tastefully made in this shiny real plastic that you don’t see anywhere else... This monster escaped from one Sea land Park, handle like a weal... I like it :love:

The one I tried is from 98 and have 200 000 miles on it, no way I will buy this one but as soon as a 20 000 miles come around... it's mine.

Sorry to you Suburban owners but I live in an area of California that has every SUV known, heck the parking lot at the local market has at least one H2 at a time and I have gotten very tired of large SUV owner thinking they can pull out, merge whenever they want because they are bigger then you! Now this is not only in a Z, but in a Volvo 850 which is not that hard to miss. Sorry I am ranting . . . good luck on your quest.

Oh have you checked the KM/L fuel consumption?

No fuel for this beast... only gas. Fuel is too expensive over here.

Going with gas is cheaper than running on diesel... and preserve the engine.

As for symbol, it's not a status icon here, in fact I will try not to pass for a Gipsy

With a Trans sport it will be easier…

I also had a Previa that my wife drove for 8 years. Other than being a little slow, it was a nice, very roomy vehicle. We replaced it with a Toyota Sienna. Its built on the Camry platform with a nice V-6 engine. A little smaller than the Previa, but big enough. Also the new Sienna is about as big as the Previa. Its hard to beat Toyota quality. Do you get Siennas over there? I would go that route over a Pontiac or Chevy.

nop, only the new Previa wich is a scaled down FWD version of the previa, expensive but smaller... and I need space.

Sure the toy quality is top notch, but it's a bit noisy...
